King Salmon, as their name suggests, are the largest member of the Salmon species. They are caught both in the ocean and in rivers when they come in to perform their famous spawning ritual.
I have caught a few King Salmon in both Alaska and Lake Michigan. However, for whatever reason, I never really get into King Salmon. They are a fine fish that fights well and tastes delicious (at least the ones in Alaska) but I have a hard time getting excited about catching them. Maybe they will grown on my down the line. In the meantime, here are some resources you might find useful:
