Recommended Terminal Tackle and Accessories
Hooks - We recommend Owner and Gamakatsu. They are extremely strong and extremely sharp. We like the ringed versions for bait fishing as these make the bait move more naturally. There are cheaper hooks out there, but why risk the fish of a lifetime because of a cheap hook?
Split rings - Owner Hyperwire are the best out there for heavy duty fishing. We usually switch out the stock rings on most lures for these when going after the big boys.
Fish Handling and Weighing - The Boga Grip has been the standard for fish handling and weighing devices and we continue to use it. Excellent for minimizing the handling of fish and allowing a healthier release, they also are good at protecting the angler from teeth. The scale is very accurate and can be certified if you are going after an IGFA record.
