Lagoon in Aitutaki

Aitutaki is a beautiful atoll that is part of the Cook Islands in the South Pacific. It has a very large lagoon in its center that is clean and full of fish. Some of the largest bonefish in the world live in the lagoon, and large Giant Trevally patrol the outer reef and also come into the lagoon. There are also a plethora of reef fish and some pelagics such as Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi-Mahi, and a few billfish.

The people are very friendly, and it's a great laid-back place to bring the whole family. It is a favorite honeymoon destination of New Zealanders and the New Zealand dollar is the currency used.
